The great advantage is that your smart device never leaves your hand during the verification process, making Florida Smart ID a contact-free and convenient option for displaying proof of identity or age.
It is important to note that while Florida Smart ID by Thales is an official credential offered by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, it does not replace your physical driver license. According to Florida law, you must carry your physical driver license when operating a motor vehicle.

Alternatively, you can use your MyDMV Portal account to enroll and activate by receiving an email with an activation code. Lastly, create a six-digit PIN for additional security using the randomized keypad.
